When Joel Goodrich is not selling some of the most coveted real estate in the Bay Area, he is making cameo appearances on ‘Million Dollar Listing San Francisco’. One of the most prominent luxury real estate agents in the area for over twenty years, the debonair Mr. Goodrich shares some of his favorite San Francisco neighborhood spots.
Where do you live and why do you love it?
Nob Hill – I bought on the top floor of the Francesca, a grand 1920’s Art Deco building in 1999 and have lived there happily ever since! Nob Hill combines my two favorite cities (outside of San Francisco, of course) – Paris, because of the incredible Grace Cathedral as well as the most beautiful architecture in the City. And New York – my views include the Bay Bridge, Coit Tower, Financial District, Bay and Downtown.
Ti Piacerá on Polk Street. The name translates to “you will like it”!
Favorite spot for a cocktail?
Date night destination?
Venticello Ristorante, one of San Francisco’s most romantic restaurants.
Favorite find in the neighborhood?
The Laurel Court Restaurant at the Fairmont Hotel, it’s like being at The Pierre in New York. During the holidays they have the biggest gingerbread house in the world, and a 40-foot tall Christmas tree- very festive!
Outdoor space to enjoy in the sun?
The roof of my building!
Best kept neighborhood secret?
Nob Hill Cafe on Taylor Street. The relaxed, old-San Francisco space feels like being in Europe!
